This cookie policy (hereinafter: Cookie Policy) explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the controller's website and is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2), the Electronic Communications Act (ZEKom-2) and the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Privacy policy and applies to all users of the website.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on the user's device when visiting a website. They enable the website to function properly, improve the user experience and allow analysis of website usage.

Cookies do not directly identify an individual, but in combination with other data they may constitute personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.

2. Types of cookies by duration

2.1 Session cookies

These cookies are deleted when the browser is closed and are essential for the basic functioning of the website.

2.2 Persistent cookies

These cookies remain stored on the user's device for a set period or until deleted manually and allow the user to be recognised on a return visit.

3. Types of cookies by purpose

3.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for the website to function and enable basic features such as navigation, security and access to secure areas of the website. These cookies are set without the user's consent.

3.2 Functional cookies

Functional cookies enable an improved and personalised user experience (e.g. saving preferences).

3.3 Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies allow website usage to be monitored and its performance improved. These cookies are set exclusively on the basis of the user's prior express consent.

3.4 Cookieless analytics

To understand how the site is used (e.g. which content is read and where visitors get stuck) we use Microsoft Clarity in cookieless mode. In this mode the tool stores no cookie or other identifier on the user's device, so no prior consent for storage on the device is required.

Usage data is processed (sections viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type and a truncated IP address) on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in improving the website. We do not use the data for advertising and do not link it to the visitor's identity.

If the user selects "Essential only", this cookieless analytics is not run either. If the user selects "Allow all", the tool switches to full mode with cookies, which allows return visits to be distinguished.

3.5 Advertising cookies

Advertising cookies are used to display personalised advertisements and are set only on the basis of the user's consent.

4. Managing cookies

On the first visit to the website the user is shown a pop-up (cookie banner) that allows them to:

• accept all cookies,
• reject non-essential cookies,
• adjust cookie settings by category.

The user can change their choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link on the website (in the footer).

5. Third-party cookies

The website may use third-party cookies such as Google Analytics (analytics) or other tools if they are listed in the cookie settings.

These cookies are set only on the basis of the user's consent. Data may also be processed in third countries (e.g. the USA), in which case the controller applies appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Disabling cookies

The user can also restrict or disable cookies in their web browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functioning of the website.

7. Changes to the cookie policy

The controller reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy. The amended policy takes effect upon publication on the website.
