The road to certification
Steps in preparing for certification

Certification body questionnaire
A preliminary assessment of the company (e.g. with SIQ): existing practices, processes, scope of standards and goals. This produces an outline plan and a certification timeline.

Preparing for stage 1
The first formal audit after the internal audit, once the documentation is largely complete. The certification body reviews the documentation, assesses readiness and recommends improvements.

Preparing for stage 2
The final certification audit: a review of how procedures are applied in practice, staff competence and whether the standard is genuinely embedded in daily work.

Certificate and maintenance
After a successful stage 2 audit you receive the certificate of conformity. The system then lives on with regular internal audits and surveillance audits — supported by our QMS platform.
